SPEAKING

1) As a class, you are going to create your own line of neurons and send a message to the brain.

2) With your classmates, form a long line across the classroom: the person at the front of the line is the brain.

3) The person at the back of the line now sends a command to the brain via neurons. S/he whispers a command in the student’s ear in front of them and this student does the same to the student in front of them and so on. Some example commands could be:

- Scratch your head.

- Write BRAIN on the board.

- Do a silly dance.

- Pretend to be an elephant.

4) When the command reaches the person at the front of the line (the brain), s/he has to perform it. They then join the back of the line, and the process starts again.
